Finding America 2010

Impetus for the trip - About a year and half ago, the filmmaker Ken Burns visited Google NY to promote his upcoming National Parks documentary series. He told a story of standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon as a childwith his father, and his memory of what a special moment that was for him. He explained that this connection with nature that he shared with his family was part of the impetus that drove his creation of the documentary series. As I sat absorbing this, I thought "Why wouldn't I share that with my own kids?". That moment, along with the support of a generous employer, has led us to "Finding America 2010".
